Ya, I had planned on using them on a 8 wheeler, but having second thoughts about drilling out the rivets.

Those rollerskate wood and aluminum "baseplates" are like the holy grail for oldschool vert roller dudes.

The magnesium half tracks are the real hookup on those!

No NOT magnesium as they would be painted yellow.

But I remember seeing mags used back in the day.

I am confused as to if tracker made "GNARLY" half tracks, or mag half tracks now for that matter,

I wonder as well if they weren't using old half tracks to make "new" rollerskates.

Eggman's look "gnarly". Defintitely the base palates and cushions.

Duke Rennie is still using his and spent some time tracking down the remaining baseplate material.

I think they work best attached to a boot!

Never much of a rollerskater myself but some of my friends had a lot of fun at the rink back in the day, 79?

Belair blazers were the hookup back then and I think they were skateboard wheels to begin with.

Well they must be Magnesiums. I weighed one of the hangers off the roller skates and another regular one, and the one off the skate is .28 oz. and the other .32 oz. So you were right.
