Doing a resto on some magnesium Trackers.Does anybody know the name of that color, and where to get some of that paint? Everything from the Depot looks like mustard or sunshine ,and not quite the right tone.I'll post some Tracker photos soon to make this a true "collectors corner" subject.Oh yea, what the fuck is a Quartertrack?? I have a Tracker package that has that as a product.I know the difference between a Halftrack/Mid/Full/Ex/Sixtrack....I just want to see what one looks like.Is is like those Indy 88's,or some weird rollerskate hanger or what! hey Egg, you might have better luck going to an autoparts store that has a selection of touch up paints like Duplicolor or others in spray paints. Better color selections I'd think?

I don't think powder coating was around when the first mags came out, only on the reissues.

I'd be interested in what you find too. I've touched up some mags before too, rustoleum don't cut it.

Egg, Go to a hobby shop and get there testors spray paint, its awesome stuff. They have a pretty big selection also. It sticks good if the surface is preped good. There some stuff that auto shops use called Prep-All.

I dont know if trackers have been shown in size next to each other, so here it is for your reference. 70's and 80's SX TRACKS, EX TRACKS, FULL TRACKS, MID TRACKS, AND HALF TRACKS.

As far as the yellow paint matching issue...couldn't you take a truck to Lowes, or Home Depot, and have them match the color? You know...with their fancy "match anything-just bring us an example" computerized color matching systems?

try it... and tell them you want a quart of oil based enamel in that color... worst case is you are out $15-$20... let us know what you find out, sounds like your best alternative at this point...

EGGMAN ... great call on the Tracker board. Agree with all above on Mag color.
DADDIO ... cool pics!
Here's my contribution. A set of mag base plates with the OG fixed pin on the right. The problem was that once the pin broke you were stuck in deep shit! The version on the left being sold now is the drilled with removable pin.
