Here's how the Indy 169 stage 11 forged titanium weighs in compared to some old-school favs. The standard Indy 169 stage 11 weighs 14 7/8 oz. Your results may vary. Indy 169 stage 11 forged titanium 12 3/4 oz. Tracker Magnesium 11 1/4 oz. Gullwing Magnesium-Titanium 11 oz. Tracker Magnesium-Ultralight Baseplate 10 oz.

thanks for posting this darb. I'm kind of trippin' on a scale with fractions.

Holding a standard Indy 169 stage 11 I couldn't believe how hefty it felt. The same 169 in a stage 10 was around a 1/2 oz. lighter and a 169 stage 9 being a full oz. lighter. Even the 215 stage 9 at 14 3/4 oz. and 215 stage 10 at 15 oz. weighs in the same. Would be nice if Indy would make a forged titanium 215.

Did the Gullwing magnesium come with titanium axles?

Not all Gullwing magnesium's came with titanium axles. There were some limited sets produced box say 500 but I think there were less than 100 made. Highest I've seen is #089.

I think Gullwing made the Super Pro III magnesium first then the Super Pro III mag-ti limited and then the Street Shadow magnesium. I asked Indy if they would sell me a set of 215’s with forged aluminum baseplates and they said no. They also said they would not sell forged aluminum baseplates separate. I guess I’ll have to build them myself.

You used to be able to buy the forged base plates separately

You could and they came drill 6 hole but had a longer 2.25 kingpin. I picked up a set a few years back and trashed them trying to replace the longer kingpins with standard hollow kingpins. I was able to remove them but I was not able to get the new kingpins in.

Interesting info. Do you really feel the difference a couple of oz makes?

Don't know, if I spend 2 or 3 hundred on a set of trucks id like to think so. As far as the Indy titanium I've only ridden them a couple times but it feels lighter when I pick the board up.

Stage 11 Indy 215's with forged aluminum baseplates. 215's with standard baseplates weigh in at 15 oz.
