Last week Tues. went looking for some typhoon swell on the east side, everywhere was too blown and shitty except for this weak little left point I never surfed before, but it was better than nothin. Some photographer asked if it was alright to take pics of me, this is what he took.

After the typhoon passed and it cleaned up a bit, there were waves closer to home, I took these yesterday of my friends before going out and joining them.....

It was pretty fun, who knows, it might be the last typhoon swell of the season.

Better than nothing indeed.
Surfing small and weak waves helps with quickness and agility IMO. Kelly Slater's career started in Florida. Says it all...

Sometimes it gets pretty good over here. I'm gonna be 45 next month, I don't know if it's age or environment, perhaps a bit of both, but it seems I'm not as picky as I used to be, and get more stoked just to get out in the water.

Since living here in Japan I haven't had much choice, although I do still get frustrated at times, but if it will help keep me on my toes then I should probably get out in those conditions more often.
