That Skip Frye is way cool, Fred! Bet you are stoked...

I've been to Portugal the last three weeks and surfed and skated a lot. I brought a 6'2" performance shortboard and a 5'9" fish. It happened that I only surfed the latter. The surf has been waist to headhigh, from blown-out to glassy offhore.

The twin fin Bufo Boogie Fish is made in the Hydroflex construction. Such a fun board in small to head-high surf. One of my faves in my quiver. Easy to paddle, really fast and loose. Sure, for anything head-high plus and/or hollow I'll get out a performance shortboard. But in less than perfect conditions or smaller waves the twin fin Boogie Fish can't be beat. Love the Hydroflex Technology. Even though the board is about 7 years old now it looks much better than many of my other boards that are maybe two years old. No more than a few pressure dents after all these years. Very strong construction, yet still very light. It's sporting Mark Richards' signature fins, the huge FCS MR '78. The board has been shaped by Hydroflex Surfboards founder Rouven "Bufo" Brauers, who is very successful now with his technology in the US. Al Merrick, Rusty etc, they all offer boards in Hydroflex construction nowadays.

Here you can listen to Bufo's funny German accent while he presents the updated version of my Boogie Fish.

Nerver tried. I love the twin fin concept. I love how they ride. The only ones I have is a 5"10 Larry Bertlemann model shaped by Donald Takayama, and a Skip Frye fish. I don't get many occasion to ride them cause I'm a lot in old school heavy logs but everytime I do, I feel pleasure in my body ;-)))

Hey Mr Kronix,
Do you have any vintage Bolt in that fabulous quiver ?
I see some of Rory's recent shape.
Like the one you helped me to get some years ago.
I remember what you've done for me to get that board and the signed photo I have from Rory.
That was waaaaaay cool.
;-)

Sick board Fred. Autumn is coming on us down under, got me thinking perhaps we could have a 'Surf Jam' akin to Kona Jam at a location somewhere in the world; those in BDS who surf could meet up for a week of surf.

Love the classic look of Lightning Bolt surfboards. Congrats, Fred!

I'll be on Bali in July/August. BDS Jam worthy waves AND some great skate spots, too. At least for the Oz brothers it's only a short hop. Come on over...

Awesome board Fred. Someday I'd love to get an OG bolt to hang. So classy!
