ahhh yea...more like...

Oh yea...my first car

1969 VW Westfalia.

Was my parents rig and we always went out to the mountains every summer for a month of camping/backpacking. I bought it off my parents when I turned 16.

Refinished the wood interior, added a 300 w stereo with 6 speakers including a couple of home speakers and rebuilt the engine a couple of times. It was the High school party bus. It did remarkably well off road as well. We had redneck keggers out in the hills and my rig would always be stationed near the bonfire acting as the sound system. Had a pop top and flip out bed in the back...some called it the stab'n cabin..., a fridge, and a sink that was commonly filled with ice and beer.

I will try to find some pics of mine but here are some of a 69' in the same color and configuration except mine had BFG All-Terrain T/A's...

huh?......you guys fix VW's?

My dad has one of these now which he lets us use for camping trips when we visit him in Utah.

Pontiac Le Mans. No muscle, I'm talking about the 80s hatchback version. Beat the living shit out of it, caught on fire once, and still ran like a champ when I traded it for a quad racer. Ya can't beat a 2 stroke.

C-ya,

I spent many a day traveling around in an Opel Kadett when I was a kid.

My first car was a 1963 Pontiac Tempest with a 326 I bought for 50 bucks when I was thirteen. Saw it delivering hay to a customer of my dads feed store and bought it from the old guy who had parked it in his field.

Looked just like this.

If I get a chance to own another it will look like this.
