For real, in '74 I bought a 1957 Renault Dauphine from some hippie friends for $150. I bought it without my dads permission. The night I drove it home, he looked at it and told me to go get my money back. On the way back to return it I went to hit the brakes at a stop sign and the pedal went to the floor. I had to brake with my foot out the drivers door the rest of the way.

Dauphine Renault,

So then I bought a '69 MGB. Fun ass car back in the day.
MGB - 1964

1st - '68 Oxidized Blue VW Bug w/ Autostick...always had issues with the vacuum advance. I sold it to a couple, then a year later got a call from Laguna Beach PD...they found it torched and abandoned on the side of the road. Still had me as the registered owner as the new buyers never registered it in their names. Wanted me to come get it. Guess there were issues with the motor.

2nd - '67 Primered Grey small block Chevy Malibu. Straight body, solid motor. Stolen from my driveway in the middle of the night.

Great thread.

There's nothing cool about a 79' Dodge Omni, but that four wheels and heater took me to a bunch of Dead
shows, hauled three canoes on the roof, two trips to Colorado, and three trips to Montana.  It was parked
outside during the winter and always started when it got down to -15 degrees.

My first car was bought in 1987. It was an all original numbers matching 1967 RS/SS 350 Camaro with a Powerglide tranny and a 12 bolt posi rear end. Car was mint. White with black vinyl top and black delux interior. Had The OG SS Hood, Rally hide away head lights and Black painted Front clip stripe. Car was stolen in 91 and found gutted in South Central LA. Still cryin'.
