 The 12" Quad Griffin is absolutely awesome! Now I'm in deep shit with the spousal unit again... I bought a Shogo Kubo AB last night! I'm setting it up with 1/2" Wedge Risers, Indy 169's and BDS Natural Mini-Dubs... Another rad ride for the quiver.

I've owned the G&S since I was 13 (1977). Everything's original except the bearings which have been replaced a few times over the years. The Trackers need new bushings. I'm waiting for a set to show up on Ebay unless anyone here happens to have an extra set lying around. The OJ's have held up remarkably well. The other deck is just a blank that I slapped a FLCL graphic on. his is what I'm riding now with Krepers and Gassers. I'm hoping to find a Quadplane 10 in the near future.

Gracias! I'll actually be putting four of these babies on the eBay in the next two weeks. The DT in DT piglet, the DT Pinstripe longboard, the F13 Shaper and the Vato Rat. Bums me out, but I'm broke as a joke with nothing to toke!

Well...almost nothing.

These are actually on the floor (and I stash 'em in my closet). And I'm kind of embarrassed to add that there are more boards I didn't include here...but I do have a couple completes that I hang on the wall like that SC Dot and the yellow California Slalom deck. I just use picture hanging brackets and strong fishing line.

@bulldogtown, Your Quad 10 is the raddest color I've seen. Do you know if many other people have orange ones? I guess strictly1 might have one.

@PH,
Cool that you have a taste for SC Dot decks. It's in wicked condition.I remember seeing one just like that about 6 months ago one ebay. Did you score it there,one I saw had Red Belair hot lips wheels on it(looks sorta like yours)? I've got the one with different sized dots(Multiple Dot) all over the board -like bubbles(green dots). And a Vertical Dot with multiple dots in blue and green fade. Also have a beatup single dot that I'm restoring. The Ramp Street Concaves came in so many colors I keep getting surprised.
If you ever let that one go I'd like a shot at it please. Here's an ongoing offer for you. I will give you $210 shipped to Canada for the complete or $160 shipped for the deck whenever you feel like it(after Christmas ideally). Merlin has the Vertical Dot in red -MINT. You have fine taste!

Alvadude, I really like the orange too. I only saw 1 or 2 from the other pics people sent in of their Quad 10's.

Gracias, AD7! Kind offer, but I gotta pass. I'm from Los Gatos/San Jose, so this Dot is kind of a grail for me. Would you believe that I scored it at a garage sale in Berkeley for 40 bucks? I was on the way to visit HailSatan at his tattoo shop. Drove down a side street off San Pablo and pulled over as soon as I saw this thing sitting next to some beat up Mongoose on the lawn of a garage sale. The Lady wanted 50 and I would have paid it, but I only had 40 in my pocket. She tried to argue that the "tires were still in really good condition" and I had to agree with her. I almost pointed out that while the "tires" were all good, the "axles" had a few scrapes on them...but she agreed to the 40 before I could try and say that with a straight face. Next thing I knew, I was on my way to visit DevilDave with a barely used SC Dot flat pig, stocked up with near perfect Indy trucks (stage 2's I'm told), OJ Street Juice wheels and GMN bearings that still roll sweetly. My old roommate used to skate pro for Santa Cruz (Mike Prosenko) and he was over at the house tripping out on this set up. He said that with the stacked Cell Block risers that this set-up probably came right out of NHS--everything on it too. Said that he remembered skating Cab's ramp as a kid and watching all the older guys ride identical setups.

@bulldogtown,
Yeah,it really stands out. I'd like to see that color again somewhere on a BDS deck. It's gotta be hard to keep it on your wall when there's such nice wheels like orangey red mini-dubs and BLUE oh yeah Blue shogos. Gawd that'd look so nice on your deck! Not trying to tempt ya just contemplating the possibilities.

@PH,
Wicked score!$40! I bought one from a guy three years ago(best Buy&Sell Rag score ever) with stage 2s and Belair Lipbombs but was $50US equivalent then but not in as sweet cond. as yours and more common as well. I didn't even notice that yours was equipped with stage IIs. That was a major lowball offer I sent then,sorry.

Don't blame ya, love the shape and simple dot graphics. Those decks are grails for me in a sense too along with old SC 5-ply decks. Funny,cause I asked Dave about these very decks two yrs ago. He checked with Steve Olson if he had any to sell me but apparently Olson had some of his SOS decks and such but no RSCs. I've never posted any of my stash but I'll see if maybe I've got a good pic or two to share with y'all since I think my green multiple dot is not that common. The baby blue one at artofskateboarding is one I want badly.

Yeah it's weird cause I would have thought that Stage 3 would have come out by the time the first RSC Single Dots hit the scene(1983, or therabouts) but your bud obviously knows the score being sponsored and all. I think I started skating 169 Stage 2s in about 1979 but dropped out of skating then so wasn't around for these boards really.

Yo Alvadude,

Check out the Indy book that just came out "Born to Grind".  It's got the entire progression of trucks right up to today along with an interesting "family tree" of other truck companies.
