1 Cherry Hill (Cherry Hill, NJ) Best park I ever skated and got to watch many pros including Shogo

2 Monster Bowl (Seaside Hgts, NJ)
3 Skatebo Asbury Casino (Asbury Park, NJ)Huge main wood ramp was unbelievable. Park went out of business but ramps stayed in place for over a year and we would sneak into the building and have a great time with just the light coming in from the glass ceiling. Ran fast when Police would check the Casino building.
4 Paved Wave (Oakhurst, NJ)Skated here the most because it was close to home back then. Below picture of me is at Paved Wave in the main Snake Run in 1978.
5 Fyber Ryder (Lakewood NJ) Great Half Pipe inside and nice Full Pipe Outside. The only Park close to my house open on the inside for the Winter months. They would threaten to throw you out if caught grinding on the top of the ramps because it would chip the fiberglass. All ramps made of fiberglass construstion.
5 Off the Wall, (Pt Pleasant, NJ)

I spotted this thread and was like wow - all the old Jersey folk. The Fyber Ryder shots were nice - the the Paved Wave shot - holy shit I used to ride for the team !

1 Cherry Hill (Cherry Hill, NJ) the Best Park Ever
2 Monster Bowl (Seaside Hgts, NJ)
3 Skatebo Asbury Casino (Asbury Park, NJ) - thats too weird - I used to skate there after it closed too - same cop I'm sure ...
4 Paved Wave (Oakhurst, NJ) Almost every day until it closed and then a couple after that ...
5 Fyber Ryder (Lakewood NJ)- the stupid parachute on the inside half pipe ...
6 Off the Wall, (Pt Pleasant, NJ)
7 Vineland Park - Vineland NJ the Giant Slalom set up on the snake run was still one of my fave rides ever.
8 Longwood Pipeline - Longwood FL
9 Kissimmee Skate Park - Kissimmee, FL
10 Clearwater Skatepark - Clearwater, FL
11 Northport Skatepark - Northport NY

There's gotta be a few more but I'm just kinda blown away at the moment. Thanks guys !

My list is very, very sad by comparison!  In 78-79 I was a member of the one skatepark within driving distance for my mom....Freeflite (or was it Freeflyte) Skatepark in Carrollton, Texas!  I LOVED that place.  Even bought my first real skateboard there.  Alva deck, Indys, Blue UFOs.

They had a nice snakerun and keyhole-type pool (but no coping) and a nice little set of banks.  All cement and pretty nicely done, although it's the only park I ever skated so I have nothing to compare it to.  It shut down fairly quickly along the lines of the massive skatepark extinction of the late 70's.  I used to drive by it on my way to work in college, filled with dirt and weeds.  Sad.  I think it's a Wendy's now.

Never found anyone else who ever even heard of the place.

Skate Memories; Started Skating in the 60s - Red Rider, Black Knight,Super surfer, Hobie,  on the sidewalks. Progressed to Cadillac wheels and Bahne with Chicago trucks on the sidewalks. Then onto Roadriders and Bennet trucks on home made boards. Made all my own decks and most of my friends boards through the mid 70s-80.

Here's the list of places I skated in the day!

First School banks - Parkman Jr High, also Woodland Hills Elementary in 75. First Ditch Knapp Park in 75, First Pool - Old Square Ranch Pool (skated over the Light) off of Woodlake Blvd in SFV in 75, First Time saw Dog Town Skaters - The Bunk Pit at Roscoe + Reseda in 76(Biniak and Muir, Muir was doing the first forevers I had seen), first skatepark - Reseda Skatercross (I actually even worked there for a few months). I skated 20-30 pools all over the SFV between 75-80s, Jungle Land in 78 or 79, Skateparks - Skatercross, Endless Wave, Aloha Skatetown, Pipeline, Big-O, Lakewood, some small park in Canyon country, Marina Del Rey (saw Polar Bear tearing up the pool). Still skating when I can, discovered BDS boards and message board, and feel at home knowing there are others out there like me. Current Quiver BF2 and Long Pig. Need to get down to Ripon one of these days to check out the surf style skaters, Holt and Olden. I get sick seeing the kids on there popsickle sticks using the bowls as launches for tricks. Not much of skater but I've done a few frontside grinds in small bowls and got 3 wheels out and was as stoked as ever, felt like a kid again.
