Can't vouch for the company, but they say they use Wisconsin wood and Santa Cruz molds.  http://www.skateboardsforschools.com/

alright, thanks for the help.   I think I might just buy a used deck like palydaxjones said.  might start off with hand drawn stuff, then I might make a silkscreening press and do some printing with the old man.

My son had one of those he rode for a while several years back. Seemed OK for a generic deck. Didn't warp or delaminate, and at 12 or13, he wasn't all that careful with it.

You're talking about the Skateboards for Schools blanks?

I'm pretty sure Santa Cruz had their boards pressed here in Wisconsin for many years using Wisconsin grown maple.  So, this outfit might be a remnant of Santa Cruz's former operation?  Looks like a Minnesota area code, so guessing they are based in Minnesota now.

I can think of at least two excellent makers of custom ordered blanks. This is Wes' website, though.....if you can't find the info through a minimal amount of internet searching, there are a couple of forums that can point you in the right direction. C'mon.....if a non-tech friendly, blue collar doofus like me can do it, anyone can.
