If you were going to skate the VANS combi and wanted to skate something else in the area, where would you go? Last year we hit VANS and Etnies. Considering Etnies as the choice, but was thinking it might be nice to try somewhere else in the area? Somewhere with a fun bowl? thanks for the input.....

Dan!!! If you are coming here in the fall, you can't beat Fontana II for the fun factor! It can get hot there in the summer. But that roman bowl is so much fun! And the peanut bowl is big!!! But like Vans is intimidating but is easier to skate than you'd think! Lots of transition! I bet you and Bill have been thinking about the combi bowl since last year, Huh? Also Venice is fun and a little drive north, Ojai is awesome!!! A better Venice bowl.

As far s fontana, I did a solo mission there last weekend! Love that bowl!

Yeh, man...VANS on the brain! That was a blast, after the first 15 minutes of "what the hell have we gotten ourselves into?!?!"   Is Fontana close to VANS? Thinking sometime after Labor Day. Maybe just me and Bill. We might only have two days to skate...3 at the most.

I'm guessing Costa Mesa is a bit of drive?

Wherever we decide, we'll give everyone a heads up and maybe we can have a little skate sesh!

(nice dbl trucker, by the way!)

If you go to Etnies in Lake Forest you can also hit up Laguna Niguel Skate Park also about 8 miles south.

8 miles= no problem! One good bowl is all it takes! I don't much care for flow bowls and stuff. I just like a nice, clean bowl, preferable in the 8'-9' range.....although bigger is fine if the transition is friendly enough.
