They were a silly idea BITD why do they think they are going to succeed now 40 years later. Another skateboard invention like the Shark wheels.... Just a.stupid waste of money. Might as well bring back Hedgehog wheels, Avon Boosters, Sky Hooks, Coppers and lappers while they are at it.

I hear ya, but, regardless if it's a business success or not, I can understand the kid trying to continue his grandfather's legacy. Would be cool to see these back on the market again, especially in original baby blue.

I agree with Parkrider and Tony......
OMG, I am Trump Junior !!!! Both Sides are to blame (hahhahahahaha)

Although, asking me for money to support their biz venture:
Get a loan kid, refinance your house, dig into your inheritance.
Cause if its my money supporting his/their Wizard Wheel Biz,
he/family could care less about failure....

Those re-issue blue wheels, hummmm is that
not what sold on ebay recently as vintage!!!!????

Glad was posted up, fun to see what bee goings on.

oh know, I agree with Paly!

They apparently only need 5k and if they aren't willing to cough that up, how seriously can we take them?

I don't know, but Skateboards is from Olympia Washington,
Same location as where Wizard Wheels request is....

Maybe is an old vintage set..... But I am extremely suspect now....

Kickstarter - the new way to fund your project without financial risk or loosing your shirt. Get everyone to pay up front, if it turns out shit but you at least give them their product you don't have to give a shit.

5000k - that's 125 sets of wheels.

Have you read the blurb on the funding page? The first order of 200,000 wheels was completed and shipped before the factory burned down. That's a lot of wheels! Where are they now? If they really did make that many bitd there would still be a lot floating around the market place now.

Wow, I see, Paly.. Those blues on Ebay look fresh off the mold, and the same city.. Definitely fishy [sneaky] hmm...

Yeah, I agree TonyB. These kids gotta put some Skin, Blood & Hard Cash in their own business, before I'd even think about putting in my hard earned cash in THEIR venture.

Damn, lazy Millennials, kids these days think everything should come easy. [rolleyes]

they were only $600 short by the looks of it so you would have thought he would have topped it up himself if he was that keen, probably realised he wasnt going to make his fortune from it[wink]
