Some of you may have seen these decks before but others may be interested to see them together - Zephyr kicktail model and early moulded grip Z flex.
I was lucky enough to be in a position to purchase the kicktail recently from a well known member of this and other forums, it was once part of the personal collection Stacey Peralta.

It is very transparent and the glass strand can clearly been seen within.

Does any one have pictures of a transparent orange Zephyr rocker deck? - would love to own one in that color.

Great deck. Nice Photo.

It is a shame many are being forced to liquidate their beloved collections...

Isn't that a piece of wood inside? I think it is.

Cool to check out the wood like that.

I think the Plummer reissues left out the wood.

Wonder if the new fiberglass Zephyr s have/will have the wood.

(I thought your deck was a rerpro at first .....

Thanks, will check out Juice magazine. Sounds good to me but I guess there will be mixed views about reissues.
I'll post a pic of the walnut Zephyr I had made on the reissues thread.
Thanks

Pics of walnut Zephyr now on repro/reissue thread.
As far as I can see the centre rail of the green Zephyr is all 'glass, the extra thickness makes it and the lips less transparent. I did have a lightweight JA Z-flex that had a visible insert in the centre rail, not sure if it was plywood or some sort of honeycomb material as mentioned in some adverts.

I recently got this Zephyr deck after a long search for an orange one.
I was interested to see that the Zephyr scrypt stickers are cut similar to those on the Chris Cahill deck pictured in The Disposable Skateboard Bible (p130), rounded after the R and on a slant before the Z.
The front righthand side of the deck has a small lip (see photo) on one edge, as if the two portions of the mould were not quite aligned correctly at the time of production.
Are any of these feature any indication of the production date (early?)
I would be grateful for any info from those that may know.
Thanks

laurie

Green Zephyr kicktail now back in the USA.
Here is another well used deck but I love the color.
I have a couple of slightly later molded grip Z flex decks for sale, the opaque blue one shown back up the thread and an NOS yellow one.
