Mine just landed down under.

Am thinking Indy 169 and either orange dragons or red and yellow dubs.

Not sure on grip yet  is very hard to get grip wider than 9"  would love some with the DT cutout

Flat as a pancake, concave and Big Foot do not fit in the same sentence.

Funny, I was just thinking today that a Big Foot III (12"x33") with concave (and maybe a spoon nose) would be awesome.  At one time, there were a lot of guys here riding the BFII.  But, I think when the Griffin came out, most of those BFII riders jumped ship for the concave of the Quad.  But with the the Big Foot having more tail width than the Quad and the classic pig shape, maybe some of the Q12 faithful would convert to a Big Foot with concave???

Wasup Gang, New to the forums Im 36 years old used to skate alot back in the 80s, my son is 13 and is a avid skater and i would like to skate with him, Now mind you im not going to be hotdoggin anytime soon I am 6' 8" and weigh 380 so its been hard finding a board to fit me until i found the bigfoot reissue there is a God.

Anyways any idea's on what to use that will hold and not break under my Big A@#, this is what i have so far.

DT Bigfoot Reissue Deck and just got the Indy 215s

Need help on risers, bushings, bearings, and anything else that helps. I will be useing the board for casual sidewalk surfing until i get my balance back and stress test the deck lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Hi Drew, when I read your height/weight I thought what you really should be riding in a BDS 8 ply Long Pig, but you've bought your deck already. You might find it will flex seeing as your a big guy. The longer deck/wheelbase on the Long Pig would give you more stability and the extra ply would keep the deck from flexing.

I'd say go for 1/2" risers at least, even though there are wheelwells on the deck. Try some softer wheels if your crusing, they will give you a good ride and plenty of grip. Try the Double Con wheels from Bulldog - Mellow Green formula 78a durometer. I don't think you need to bother with wedged risers on that deck its got a fairly short wheelbase.

You might also benefit from a change of Truck bushes to better handle your weight, stock Indy bushes suck big time. Try some Khiro's either yellow or the hardest one which are Black. Or maybe even the black Indy replacements, they would be better than standard.

We all like Rockin Rons Rocket bearings they are the best and not to expensive if you get the steel ones. Ceramics are for shredders.

On my wider decks I like to fit a narrower truck up front (Indy 169) it gives the deck better turning and you don't get the wheels hanging out the side.

Anyway that's a few things for you to think about.

WOW! 6'8" and 380! Your a big boy! Tony is right, post a message in buy sell trade for the dck he talks of. A longer wheel base is nessesary for you to feel more stable, a deck with concave will flex less and an extra ply for you won't hurt either. Also there are some Gashead II's availabl there as well. It would be great deck for you too! Welcome, Blake
