One of Paul's closest friends is away on his honeymoon, when he gets back I might have to be the one tell him. Dudes where tight. Really sad.

Baby Paul was one of my bros!  Got tons of cool pics & will post once I find em.  Never thought our photos would be memorable.  I knew him for over 6 years & he is the nicest dude on the planet.  Met him at a Skate contest at H Beach.  We & a few skate bros went out & partied all evening.  Paul was a regular guy that came from an amazing period.  Paul was in superb shape so no guess on what happened.  I'll fire his wife a condolence note.  This seems so unreal.  I'm in the classic denial phase.  Paul ... we love ya bro!!

Thank you once again to my friends and family for the ongoing support. Small family/friends service will be held saturday, but a paddle out will be planned for sunday and after a "beach wake". This is not set in stone, but more of a "save the date"6 hours ago"

This is the real thing!  Sad week!  RIP Paul!!  We will all miss ya bro!!  To all Paul's close friends ... our prayers are also with you!  Today now sucks!

This shot typifies what pool skating was all about at the time. Total commitment to pushing the limits, and the scabby knees that resulted from pushing it too far. Again, RIP, BP

Great pics!!  This is ironic.  Baby was the youngest OG Z Boy.  Polar Bear Bear was the younger group.  Believe Paul is the first to die.  Always said when the youngest member of a family dies first.  Sad stuff & shows us all that we will continue to honor all the Z boyz & their peers for making skateboarding radical!  Here's to all the Z Boys/Girls.  I salute you.  Stay safe & healthy.  We need ya all around fort a long long time.  Enough of this trivia .. back to your great photos to celebrate Paul.

I never met B.P.C.....
But I'm taking this kind of hard. It must be because as much as Bulldog Skates contributed to giving us all a chance to relive a part of our younger years, something like the passing of "Baby" Paul Cullen can knock you right back down. Are we lucky just to be alive? I guess. Just working your ass off, doing the right thing, isn't what saved us- it is luck!- dumb luck. I lived in Santa Monica, Ocean Park. I lived in Venice, Ghost Town- Oakwood- and I was a pretty tough F'er ( a wholly different person) then. I still fled that part of town, running, to the beach neighborhood. Turns out I wasn't smart, just lucky. I don't care what you guys say, I love the place, but, L.A. can be so damn toxic sometimes...In the same breath, I wish I could be there for the paddle out, get wet, and bathe in the promise that the rest of us will remain lucky......
