I have a nice set of Sims Comp II's.They have the more straight conical as compared to Ratone's ,so I don't know if that means they are earlier ones or not....????

Anyways, they are in really nice shape, really no coning and plenty of life left in them to enjoy.

Asking $200  or best offer shipped CONUS ...Paypal as gift.

so the back conical area isn't as wide as the yellow ones?  but the wheel is still roughly the same width

I don't know if it is that...I was just meaning to point out that the yellow ones have more of a rounded conical it seems as compared to these.

Exactly true~ These "straight edged" rear conicals pictured here are the 1st Generation 1979 Sims Comp II conicals and the round backs were produced shortly thereafter in 1980~ Both GNARLY wheels! Ghandi, these ones seem to have been dyed red at one point or another, regardless still gnarly wheels and good luck with the sale!

Let me take Methods info one step further

The rd ones that Ghandi is selling are actually second generation of the first gen wheel. The first gen comp 2 has the straight conical back but has a tight opening where the bearing goes in

The second generation of the first gen has a biger open back These came out as people were starting to ride with copers and the tight back would not allow for that

Then the yellow ones that Ratone is selling are actually the 3rd generation comp 2 and are called Radial back. The years that Method stated are all correct

Sims snake conicals did  the same thing. Although radial back snake cons are like Catfish scales Hard as hell to find

Jeff .... are the radial back COMP 2s & Snakes machined or formed in the mold?  Gotta say I dream of owning all three versions since some bro naked "Hike4it" seems to have the world's stock of Sims single conical wheels

Pretty sure the radial backed are molded, but Hike can confirm.

First gen and second gen have the lines on the straight conical back

3rd gen Radial backs are Molded smooth on the radial back
