I took a hit on the #1 rib left side and have been a total bitch every since! It is one of the few times to scream like a little school girl and not get your man card pulled.
Anybody have this before and how did you do things like sleep? Any help would be....Helpful!!!

6-8 weeks of don't sneeze, don't cough, don't laugh, don't ......
Good luck. I did a lot of ibuprofen for cracked ribs and that's probably not entirely recommended.
Was it the coping that got you?

Do what you normally do, just sleep on the oppsite side of your body. Time is the only remedy.

When I had bruised ribs, I had to learn to sleep on my back. That helped for sure. Had been used to sleeping on my side - but sleeping on either side hurt too much.
Also tried to avoid laughing because that stretched the ribs and hurt. So no funny movies!

One thing if you take Ibuprofen, You must eat something before or right after. That shit eats your stomach alive! Don't forget to ice as much as possible.

My ribs hurt so much that laughing is not a problem...LOL. Ouch!
So I guess I am doing the right thing. Nothing. The doc said that pain killers could be a bad thing masking something worse, tapeing can cause illness because of shallow breathing, embrace the suck and live with it.
I am going to stop fighting Ninja's on rooftops. That is what got me into trouble the last time!

Broke four ribs playing rugby when I was younger. As far as I know there is nothing you can do but grin and bear it.

Not nearly the same thing...but I always slept on my side. When I had my broken neck and wore a neck brace for 12 weeks, I slept pretty comfortably in a recliner. Couldn't roll over when I wanted but it got me through.
Sending healing vibes.... (((((*)))))

fixed that for ya!
just a heads up, sometimes you land with your elbow in front of your ribs and it can break them, later you're like "how in god's name did i break my ribs?" best KJ!
